The China Hustle: Trailer & Documentary

The China Hustle is a recently released documentary from Academy Award winner Alex Gibney and Academy Award nominees Frank Marshall and Jed Rothstein and the producers of Enron: The Smartest Guys in the Room.  The China Hustle features the story of the wave of Chinese reverse mergers that swept the market a few years ago.

It details a play by play of the various frauds that took place and the short sellers involved in discovering and drawing attention to them.  Featured in the documentary are the likes of Jim Chanos of Kynikos Associates, Carson Block of Muddy Waters Research, Soren Aandahl of Glaucus Research and more.

Betting on Zero Trailer: Documentary on Bill Ackman's Fight Against Herbalife

Bill Ackman and Pershing Square's short bet against Herbalife (HLF) has been dragging on for quite some time now.  Simply put, he argues the company is a pyramid scheme.

Now, a documentary has been released called Betting on Zero.  It details Bill Ackman's 'holy war' against the company and also touches on Carl Icahn's long position. 

The documentary is available on iTunes now, but here's a teaser of what you can expect.

Below is the trailer for the new documentary Chasing Madoff which was released on August 26th, 2011. It details the story of Bernie Madoff's $18 billion ponzi scheme and how Harry Markopolos spent ten years trying to expose the fraud.

Directed by Jeff Prosserman, it seems that the documentary is based on Harry Markopolos' book, No One Would Listen: A True Financial Thriller. You can also read our review of the book here.

The 1987 PBS Film on Paul Tudor Jones entitled 'Trader: The Documentary'. This video has been extremely hard to find and those possessing a precious copy guard it with their life and/or sell it on eBay for hundreds if not thousands of dollars.

This is hedge fund manager & legend Paul Tudor Jones in his element. He is notorious for predicting and profiting from the stock market crash in 1987. The video takes you inside Tudor Investment Corp back when they were only 22 employees large and managing around $130 million. Today, obviously, they are much, much bigger. We cover Tudor Investment Corp here on the blog because of Tudor's excellent track record and legendary status. We've covered Tudor's recent equity portfolio, as well as good quotes from Paul Tudor Jones in the past. Lastly, we also posted up his hedge fund manager interview.
